Yes — and that's by design. Ferda is not spyware. Your child knows the app is running, and you explain it's there for their safety, not for control. Transparency builds trust, secrecy destroys it.
Ferda doesn't read your child's messages. The AI only analyses notifications and looks for dangerous patterns. 99% of communication remains completely private. You only get alerted when the AI detects a genuine risk — grooming, bullying, or warning signs of self-harm.
AI isn't perfect and false positives can occasionally happen. That's why we always show you context and an explanation of why the alert was triggered. You can mark it as a false alarm and the AI learns from it. Better one extra alert than a missed risk.
US apps don't understand European languages, slang, or cultural context. More critically, they store your children's data on US servers under US law — outside GDPR protection. Ferda is built in Europe: your data stays in the EU, protected by the world's strongest privacy legislation. We understand your language and your values.
Absolutely. Ferda is designed from the ground up with European data protection in mind. All data is processed and stored within the EU. Content is deleted immediately after analysis. We never share data with third parties. We're launching first in Czechia and expanding across the EU.
